Weenav in Thonon: first CCS marine terminal for electric boats on Lake Geneva

In Thonon-les-Bains, Weenav is taking part in the inauguration of the first marine rapid charging station on Lake Geneva

Fast-charging stations: Weenav drives the energy transition in the marine sector in Thonon-les-Bains

This weekend in Thonon-les-Bains, a major step was taken in the energy transition of the nautical sector with the inauguration of the first 75 kW DC marine fast charging point dedicated to electric boats on Lake Geneva. Weenav was proud to be present to support this historic step forward, alongside its institutional and port partners.‍

Weenav at the forefront of electric mobility in ports

The energy transition in the marine sector cannot be achieved without a suitable, efficient and accessible recharging infrastructure. Harbours are evolving to accommodate a new generation of electric boats, and fast-charging stations are playing a central role in this change. At Weenav, we're proud to be contributing to this change with technical solutions designed for easy, reliable integration that comply with the most demanding standards.

Thonon-les-Bains: first fast marine terminal on Lake Geneva

The port of Thonon-les-Bains has become a pioneer on Lake Geneva with the installation of an Aqua superPower 75 kW DC charging point, capable of recharging two electric boats simultaneously. Located near the harbour master's office and reserved for visitors, this terminal represents a strategic milestone in the modernisation of French port infrastructures.‍

Weenav's presence at this inauguration testifies to our commitment to working alongside local authorities to build a sustainable, accessible and high-performance boating ecosystem.

Aqua superPower + Weenav: total compatibility

The Aqua superPower network, currently being rolled out across France and Europe, is the first marine infrastructure entirely dedicated to rapid recharging for electric boats. The Aqua charging points are designed around the CCS standard, guaranteeing optimum compatibility with our range of KRONOS motors.

Thanks to our complete mastery of the integration of on-board electrical systems, our solutions are fully compatible with the entire Aqua superPower network. Whether for municipal ports, nautical bases or shipyards, Weenav provides a ready-to-use, turnkey solution to support the transition to clean shipping.‍

KRONOS motors designed for CCS2 fast recharging

One of the strengths of our technology lies in the native integration of the CCS2 Combo plug directly into our KRONOS electric motors. This unique innovation simplifies on-board installation, with no need for additional external boxes or complex wiring. It is fully compatible with European standards IEC 62196 Type 2, ISO 15118 and DIN SPEC 70121, ensuring intelligent communication between the boat and the terminal during charging.‍

Recharges from 20% to 90% in just 20 minutes

Thanks to this direct integration of the Combo CCS2 connector, our systems allow ultra-fast recharging, typically from 20 to 90% in just 20 minutes, in complete safety. This is the perfect response to the needs of professionals and yachtsmen alike: fast recharging, ease of use, energy efficiency.‍‍

A shared vision for sustainable boating

We believe that a sustainable future for boating depends on innovation, reliability and interoperability. At Weenav, we are developing 100% electric propulsion systems, with no compromise on performance, and totally focused on ease of integration and everyday use.

By working with players like Aqua superPower and supporting ports in their energy transition, we are actively participating in the construction of a cleaner, quieter and smarter marine ecosystem.

Weenav, accelerating the energy transition in ports

Thanks to our KRONOS motors with integrated CCS2 plugs, our compatibility with ISO 15118 and DIN SPEC 70121 standards, and our ability to provide fast, secure recharging via Aqua superPower charging stations, Weenav is now a key technology partner for electric mobility on water.

In a nutshell:

  • CCS2 Combo socket integrated into the KRONOS engine
  • Recharges from 20% to 90% in 20 minutes
  • Compatibility ISO 15118 / DIN SPEC 70121 / IEC 62196
  • Easy integration on all types of electric boats
  • Works with the entire Aqua superPower‍ network
