Which boats are compatible with an ARION engine in hybrid version?

All boats that were originally compatible with an inboard motor or already equipped with inboard motors can be easily adapted to use the ARION motor in hybrid mode. With power ranging from 50 to 400 hp, the ARION hybrid system offers a high-performance and reliable solution for a wide range of professional vessels, such as passenger transport and service boats.

A technical question, missing information, or a simple curiosity?

Electric motors reduce CO2 emissions by completely eliminating the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the combustion of fossil fuels. By using electricity, which is often produced from renewable sources, they minimize their overall environmental impact. Thus, electric motors play a crucial role in the transition to more sustainable and climate-friendly navigation.
Charging technologies for marine electrical systems include various options:

• Classic socket (single phase): Allows standard charging ideal for equipped docks. Adapted to slow recharges, often included in port infrastructures.
• 3-phase socket (32A): Offers charging power up to 22 kW. It allows significantly faster recharges for three-phase compatible boats.
• CCS Combo Jack: Fast to ultra-fast charging solution, up to 200 kW. It allows recharging up to 2C, i.e. from 10% to 90% in about 30 minutes.
• Optional: High power CCS combo : Extended version that can reach up to 300 kW for even faster charging needs.

These charging options provide flexibility for the varied energy needs of marine electrical systems, allowing charging times to be adapted to different requirements and conditions of use. We work hand in hand with AquaSuperPower, which generally installs a fast charging station when an electrification project is launched in a port.
Professionals report positive feedback on the use of electric motors, highlighting their low maintenance costs, increased reliability, and reduced environmental impact. They also appreciate the quiet operation and consistent performance of electric motors.
Our electric motors comply with ESTRIN standards for inland waterways and the relevant division for maritime use, depending on the type of boat you have (Divisions 221, 222, 223 A and B, 224, 226, 240/NUC, 243, 245, etc.). All our boats are IP 67 certified (waterproof to a depth of 1 m for 30 minutes) and CE certified (Electrical Compliance).
The electric motor requires less maintenance and has a less complicated composition, which means that it has a much longer lifespan.
