About Weenav

Our company

Weenav is a French start-up based in Roncq (Lille Metropolis), founded by three childhood friends who are engineers — two specialists in smart electric vehicles and one expert in information technology. Our core business: to design, equip, and integrate high-power electric and hybrid propulsion systems on new or existing boats, in the service of cleaner and more enjoyable navigation.

Our products

  • KRONOS : Powerful and modular electric outboard motor, designed for fast boats and dynamic navigation, combining performance and responsiveness.
  • ARION : Robust and silent electric inboard motor, integrated into the bilge for smooth propulsion, without vibrations, providing optimal navigation comfort.

A turnkey offer

Beyond products, Weenav supports its clients from start to finish: technical studies, bespoke design, onboard integration, regulatory compliance. This integrated approach makes Weenav a trusted partner in a maritime market undergoing profound transformation.

A strong positioning

With 35 million boats in circulation worldwide and a market potential estimated at 16 billion dollars over the next decade, Weenav is at the crossroads of the energy transition and demanding nautical uses: sustainability, performance, silence.

Internship context

Weenav is an innovative company specialising in high-power electric propulsion systems for boats.

Our connected systems enable monitoring, analysis, and remote control of boats based on the data collected (engines, batteries, consumption, alerts…).

These data are at the heart of our developments for real-time monitoring, usage analysis, energy optimisation, and the continuous improvement of our solutions.

In this context, Weenav is developing a web monitoring platform, complemented by a mobile application, and is looking for a full stack developer to design and evolve this end-to-end software chain.

Missions

Develop the web monitoring platform, from the management and storage of technical data collected by the boats to their visualisation, analysis, and interaction on a secure and smooth web interface.

1. Backend & API

• Design and develop the application backend of the platform (Node.js / Python)

• Développer des API REST ou GraphQL sécurisées allowing :

  • access to real-time and historical data,
  • management of users, boats and rights,
  • management of alerts, notifications and events

• Implement the business logic related to monitoring

  • states of the electrical system,
  • consumptions,
  • charging cycles,
  • anomaly detection, …

• Set up notifications

• Ensure the reliability, performance and security of services (JWT / OAuth2 authentication)

2. Database & monitoring data

Design the data model for :

  • engine and battery telemetry,
  • navigation histories,
  • alerts and events,
  • usage statistics

• Set up the centralisation and historisation of data (PostgreSQL / MySQL, time-series databases like TimescaleDB or InfluxDB)

• Optimise queries for temporal and statistical analysis

• Ensure integrity, traceability and performance of data (Redis cache if necessary)

3. Web Frontend – Monitoring Interface

• Develop a modern and ergonomic web monitoring interface (Angular / React / Vue / TypeScript / JavaScript): moderne et ergonomique (Angular / React / Vue / TypeScript / JavaScript):

• Design interactive dashboards,

  • consumption and energy graphs (Chart.js/ Echarts/D3.js),
  • real-time system states,
  • history and usage analysis

• Allow a remote interaction with the boat to update it

• Ensure a clear UX, focused on operation and quick decision-making

4. Mobile application (secondary mission)

• Participate in the development and evolution of the mobile application (Flutter / FlutterFlow)

• Allow the user to :

  • quickly check the status of their boat,
  • receive notifications (Push Notifications / Firebase),
