Our company: Weenav is a French start-up based in Roncq (Lille metropolitan area), founded by three childhood friends who are engineers — two specialists in smart electric vehicles and one expert in information technology. Our core business: designing, equipping and integrating high-powered electric and hybrid engines into new or existing boats, for cleaner and more enjoyable navigation.

Our mission: we develop innovative, quiet and fuel-efficient propulsion solutions to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions and hydrocarbon discharges, while improving comfort on board. Conversion (replacing a combustion engine with an electric motor) can reduce the carbon footprint by up to 56% compared to building a new electric boat, while retaining the hull and equipment.

Internship context

As part of its efforts to develop its communications and promote its products and innovations, Weenav is looking for a communications assistant intern for a period of 2 to 6 months.

Your responsibilities will include content creation, social media management, marketing material layout, event coordination and competitive intelligence.

Main duties

Under the supervision of the communications manager, the communications assistant intern will participate in the following duties:

• Social media management and coordination: responding to comments, scheduling and publishing content, monitoring creative and competitive developments
• Participation in competitions: tracking registrations
• Search engine optimisation (SEO): updating and improving website content to enhance Weenav's visibility
• Coordination of trade fairs and events: registration, preparation of materials, logistical follow-up and communication before, during and after events‍
• Creation of visual and multimedia content: production of visuals, infographics and marketing materials using Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
• Marketing support and commercial relations: participation in communication strategy in conjunction with the sales team, preparation of presentations and promotional materials
• Video editing: designing videos for social media, events or promotional campaigns

Desired profile

• Student in communications, marketing, audiovisual studies or equivalent training
• Good command of social media and digital trends
• Skills in graphic design (Adobe suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and video editing (Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent)
• Writing skills, layout skills and creativity
• Interest in SEO, the web and digital communication strategies
• Ability to work in a team and propose new ideas
• An interest in innovation, boating and technology would be an advantage
